Foster Families

Welcoming a child in need into your home is a priceless gift for yourself and for that child. However, it can also come with its own unique set of challenges.  I have worked almost 4 years as a support worker for relative/kin and core foster families. My training also includes circle of security training which can be incredibly supportive to you and your family. The care I provided was to the foster parents in understanding the Department for Children and Families process, as well as the emotions they may see in the child entering the home. I understand first hand the challenges that you may be facing and can help be a support to you, to your foster child and to your own children as you provide such a safe and welcoming place for these individuals.
